MG Motor has launched many powerful SUVs in the Indian market and is constantly rocking the market by launching new versions of them. Taking forward its launch culture, MG Motors is all set to launch the new updated version of its powerful SUV MG Hector.
This will be the second update for the Hector. Earlier it was also updated in 2021. The SUV MG Hector was first launched in India in 2019. Since then it has remained the best selling SUV for the company in India.
Now its updated version is expected to get ADAS, due to which it will compete with cars like Mahindra SUV 700, Tata Harrier and Hyundai Alcazar.
However, these updates will lead to an increase in the prices of the Hector. In such a situation, the company will continue to sell the 2021 model along with the MG Hector Facelift version. However, if the demand for the old model is low, then the decision to discontinue it can be taken later.
As of now, the front end has been leaked, which suggests that one of the major updates for the 2023 MG Hector facelift will be the diamond mesh grille, which will replace the current trapezoidal studded grille. The top-mounted LED DRLs will remain the same while the headlamps and front bumper have been slightly changed.
MG Hector Plus
The one big thing that makes the MG Hector Plus 7 Seater different from the Hector is the seating capacity of this car. MG Hector Plus 7 Seater offers you three-row seating. Whereas in Hector it is only from front and back. Hector Jahan is a 5-seater car. Whereas MG Hector Plus 7 Seater 7 seating capacity is being lowered.
Updated interiors
There is no major change in its side and rear profile. The interiors have been upgraded with a fresh dual-layer dashboard. It will get a large 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system with smart connectivity.

In terms of engine power, it is reported to be launched with three engine options like the 6-seater MG Hector Plus, including a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine and a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine with hybrid system producing 143 bhp power and 250 Nm. Capable of generating peak torque of Nm. The petrol engine is mated to 6 speed manual and DTC automatic transmission. At the same time, the 2.0-liter diesel engine is capable of generating 168bhp power and 350Nm torque.
