OPPO F17 Pro Price in India 2022 Full Specification, Features and Review
The latest launch for the global company’s first phone is unveiled by the title as the OPPO F17 Pro, a flagship offering, which has made its way to Indian market in October this year. The device comes with an octa-core Snapdragon 888 chipset clocked at 2 GHz. It is being sold at Rs 20,499 and it also supports 5G connectivity, USB Type-C and microSD card slot. To keep things interesting, there is something that makes this handset different from previous OnePlus devices such as the vanilla F17 and 7+2, which support fast charging technology, but this one is not running on any type of charger. On the other hand, the older model, like the vanilla 8+3 or even older OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro, have a power pack built into their box.
The new smartphone offers several upgrades over the vanilla version while delivering a similar experience of high-end specifications. As the name suggests (Oppo), the OFP17 is powered by a 6nm chip and will come complete with quad rear cameras. There is a triple snapper setup, a 64MP primary sensor, 48 MP ultra-wide camera, 8 MP telephoto camera, a 16 MP selfie shooter, and more. While the hardware remains identical to the predecessor, the design changes include a few improvements to the rear panel, including a curved hole lens and some RAM expansion. The overall design looks very much like a standard Android flagship with a punch-hole cutout for the front camera. The battery of the OFP17 Pro may be slightly smaller than the iPhone 12 series, and its capacity charges via 18W wired charging. In addition, the company claims 25Wh Li-Po (Long-Potential Charge Charge) cell, which is enough power for 90 days on a single charge! So the OFP17’s battery life lasts between 6 and 8 hours and should last up to a day on a fully charged battery. At the same time, the company says that it would offer an average usage of 10-12 hours of real-world video playback on top of what we saw earlier with the “mainstream mode”.
The OFP17 is available in two colour options – Ice White and Crystal Black. The smartphone ships with either 128GB storage or 256GB storage variant. However, according to the company, users can opt for a 1TB variant with 512GB memory priced at Rs 24,999 instead of the retail price of around Rs 55,900. Lastly, the Chinese manufacturer notes in its FAQ section that the OFP17 can run both the stock OS 11 and OxygenOS 12. Users can get the software update through Google Play Store (Android version) or the App Store (iOS version). One must make sure to give access to the right carrier for timely delivery.
In terms of the camera, the device features a main 48MP shooter that comprises of primary sensor and five sub-axial lenses. On the optics side, you have an 8MP wide angle shooter, and there are three other shooters here too, especially for macro shots. For selfies, there is a 32MP shooter at the back, while there is a 13MP shooter for macro shots at the top of the rear panel. Additionally, the device includes a depth sensor, which gives depth information. With this, you can capture clearer pictures compared to most recent smartphones, hence making photo sharing with a larger audience smoother in real times. As for recording videos, the company claims that the OFP17 can shoot 4K60p resolution video at 60fps. That further adds up to 15 hours of audio recording with the speaker turned up.
As per reports, the internal storage of the device is expandable up to 1TB, just like an external e-reader like the Amazon E-Reader or another Nubia Note 10. Additionally, the company has talked about integrating four microphones, so whether you need to take calls, record them, send text messages or do something else related to voice calls, this will all happen without disturbing your music library. As for the battery, you can find 3,000 mAh with 44Wh power bank included as well. Furthermore, the phone charges via 18W USB Type-C and Micro USB ports. The OFP17 does come with a USB Type-C port, which allows users to take charge on any plug, no matter where they go. You will also get NFC. Further, you can use the standard wireless charging brick as well, as the case, a small pop-up stand, and finally connect to it using your cable in the socket. Once again, this device won’t be compatible with the proprietary 33W SuperFast MagSafe wireless charging, as it ships only with 18W USB type-C and micro USB port.
