This is the most beautiful laptop I have ever seen. this is the new Dell XPS 13 plus.
・seamless touchpad design
This is Dell XPS 13 plus and this is obsolutely stunning I say that because there's nothing like it on the market. I mean from the back it looks like any other experience laptops with the CNC machine, aluminium chassis. The whole clean looks with the Dell logo but look at the XPS 13 plus from the front the almost bezel-less display looks gorgeous agreed but the highlight is the seamless keyboard and the touchpad design. This look so minimal and modern I mean this whole palm rest is actually are big Gorilla glass panel that has a very nice metal grippy fell to it and this has a big touchpad.
You are probably wondering in where exactly is the touchpad or is this whole thing attach pad while this is a touchpad I know there are no party lines no markers let you know but it's here and this is awesome to use now this touchpad is actually very interesting. It's actually haptic that does not have any button so when you make any clips feedback you get is actually vibrations from the sensors below. I mean when you can even adjust the vibration intensity from the touchpad settings. It's cool and if you are wondering if this actually works well it does this is smooth responsive and field work is very accurate.
Another question that people had in office is do you have trouble locating the touchpad. Since there's no markers here the answer is no and that's because when we use laptop switch generally don't looks at the touchpad we looks at the screen and it all comes naturally. Look our hair naturally goes your and this is a big touch pad place in exactly the right location show its no problem at all.
• Unique keyboard
The keyboard is also very cool. It goes edge to edge and I love how it merges with the class form rest nicely with its flat design their also know spacing between the keys. The font on the keys looks minimum and power button isn't even mark even though. It has a fingerprint sensor on its all about minimal model design here. I also like that similar to the class trackpad this to has a nice soft touch feel to it.
Now this keyboard has some questions, I know a lot of people don't like keyboard that don't have any spacing between the key and I know this looks a bit cramped on first look but the typing experience here is surprisingly good. The key caps are big there's good feedback in the keys. Dakiya travel good have been more but people who life to touch type will appreciate this keyboard.
• Capacitative Fn keys
Now above the keyboard are these capacitative keys that personally I think do remind me of the macbook's touch bar. This whole panel is actually merged with the design and this Capacitative keys are easy to use. There are these different controls like volume brightness control, mic switch etc. And you cannot bring up the function row. Now I would have lived some feedback on these keys and people use the escape button alert my fan of this but this goes with the whole minimal design with the laptop.
• Ports or the lack of it
In the minimum desire Dell has even cut down on the ports on this laptop. There are thunderbolt for USBC port with display port and PD charging on the left and the right has the exact same port see I live that the two ports are in each side but there's no USB port & no headphone jack.
• Other Design Factors
Apart from these the bottom has the rubber fit and the XPS logo and this whole design is super sleet and nice. It's 15 mm thin and only wait 1.2 kg so this is great. when it comes to portability the lid also opens with our hand but you need to get use to it since their no indentation on the frame look this is an eye catching design and every time you open this laptop you will enjoy how fresh it looks but I think that's gonna catch your eye on this laptop is how minimal the bazels are I mean the bazels are incredible. What's impressive that then has manage to put in an ambient light sensor here to adjust. The brightness automatically and it works really well there's even IR sensors here that let you unlock to laptop with your face as for the webcam it's 720p which does feel a bit weird on such a premium work machine.
• The bazel - less display
The display does total justice to this design here to specs this is a 13.4 inch 4K IPS display that's also a touch screen and it has 500 nits a peak brightness is 90 DC. The coverage Dolby vision support and it is a glossy panel but their anti reflected here which does same to make a good difference specs apart this is a really good display look. it looks sharp and Chris while browsing the web or while watch movies in 4K the colours are nice to our also pretty good accuracy wise and the black looks really good for what is an IPS display. This is also touch screen and touch response is good all those their does not seen to be stylus support. Here so this is no OLED display but this four ke panel is high quality and looks incredible while watching movies and show's specially Dolby vision support content plus combined that with the fantastic speakers.
・Quad Speakers
In this laptop you get a great multimedia experience there four speakers for including to Tweeters and to woofers tune by waves mass audio Pro and they get super loud for laptop with this size you not expect. These speakers to rap up like they do the sound quality is top not are well and thanks to the woofers. Their decent amount of bass to moving.
・performance and thermals
On the performance Dell has not cut any corners near the XPS 13 + comes in both core i5 and core is on variants but the one we have has a powerful be series core i5 processor with two counce 16 threads and it can go up to the 4.4 gigahertz. There's Intel graphics 16GB fast Ipsddr5 RAM and fast 500 LGB, Gen4 SSD . So the specs are good for high in laptops like this and the benchmarks are obviously good b.Ed CPU benchmarks PC marks on this marks.
Now we have been using it as a work laptop with lots of Chrome tabs text editing and the performance has been consistently good. It's not just Chrome taps you also did some photo editing on this laptop on Photoshop with multiple layers and what not and it was a lack free experience. The thermos are also pretty good the laptops has two fans and heat pipe. Which mostly keep the laptop cool but yeah the laptop does get warm when running benchmarks but mostly it's cool and fans are mostly silent also. There is the Dell performance centre app here which has different performance profiles to choose from so yeah it's good.
・Battry and Charging
When it comes to the battery that then XPS 13 + has a 55 watt battery and it comes with a 60 watt USBC charger. That supports Dell express charge and it is actually expressed the laptop goes to 70% in an hour and charges in one and half hours which is very very good. As the battery performance we got around 7 hours of battery life while working on the laptop which is pretty good lastly in terms of connectivity their Wi-Fi 6C and Bluetooth 5.2 so yeah it's good.
• Price and Conclusion
Something up the Dell XPS 13 plus is a premium laptop it starts at 1.6 lakh but I have to say this tell has nelled the design on this laptop. I mean i have awe of this design ever seen v unboxed the laptop I have always been a fan of minimal clean non-. Modern design and this is exactly that I had my doubt on the seamless keyboard and trackpad for design but it works and it looks really good. While doing it the laptop is getting usual factors to the 4K display with narrow bazels is stunning the speakers on a 13 inch laptop performance is solid its not perfect I would not like feedback from keys. It's that expensive but like I said at the starts their nothing like it on market.
