Altroz iCNG Performance: Due to the dearth of diesel vehicles in the budget of 5-15 lakhs in the auto sector, now the attention is fast shifting towards electric and CNG vehicles. While Tata is already playing the role of leader in the market with its tremendous electric range. Now Tata has also started working on expanding the CNG range, starting with the entry in the premium hatchback segment with the Tata Altroz ICNG. Although more participants are already ready in this segment. But Tata has started it in a different way, which we have talked about during our first test drive. The biggest issue with CNG vehicles is the reduction in boot space, which is occupied by its tank. Tata Motors has come up with a clever way out of this and has divided the 60 liter tank into 30 liters each and set it optimally on the boot floor. Due to which more boot space was saved from occupying the boot size. But if we compare it with the Altroz petrol variant, then there is a lack of 2101 in it. Despite this, its goods can be kept quite easily. At the same time, its spare wheel is set under the car, which can be easily removed or kept. Along with this, Tata Motors has also placed a puncture kit in the boot space.

While talking about its cabin, it has features like 7-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic climate control, leather seats, 8-speaker audio system, rear AC vents, driver seat with height adjustable feature. As a new feature, it also has a sunroof with wireless charging, air purifier, which can be operated with various types of voice commands.
Tata Altroz ICNG Performance
Another special thing about this CNG variant of Tata Altroz is that it can be started on direct CNG mode without any problem. On which you get 74ps of power and 103Nm of torque as compared to the 88bhp power you get on the petrol variant. It is offered with a single ECU unit, yet there is hardly any trouble starting on CNG. At the same time, at low speeds, it seems as if you are driving it on petrol, due to which you can easily drive it even inside the city. The power and torque it gets on CNG mode is much better than its rivals. There is no need to shift it while driving. That means you will not feel the need to run it on petrol. Its performance on the highway is also excellent. Its gear is a bit heavy but clutch is light. Also, when it comes to suspension, it performs well according to the roads here. The official information about the mileage of this car is yet to come, but it is expected to be above 20 km/kg.
