Tata Altroz Racer: At the Auto Expo 2023, Tata Motors has showcased the sportiest version of the Altroz hatchback, the Altroz Racer. The biggest updates on the Altroz Racer are the new 10.25-inch touchscreen, a new digital instrument cluster and a sunroof. The Altroz Racer gets the same exterior design and styling as the standard Altroz. Although its look is slightly different from the standard model.
It also gets an electrically adjustable sunroof along with the voice assist feature which sets it apart. This feature which is a first for any Altroz variant. It also gets a blacked-out roof and twin white racing stripes along the bonnet as well as racer badges on the front fenders. At the rear, the Altroz also gets a more pronounced rear spoiler along with a shark fin antenna.
At the front, where the standard Altroz gets a chrome bar on the front bumper, the Altroz Racer gets an all-black treatment. Even the headlights get the blacked-out treatment. Also, while the design of the alloy wheels is similar to the standard Altroz, the racer gets an all-black finish.
As per the information, the Altroz racer gets a new 10.25-inch touchscreen unit with new software. In addition, it gets a new 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, six airbags, wireless charging and an air purifier as standard features. New all-black upholstery with red contrast stitching, red and white stripes on the Altroz racer and there is also racer embossing on the headrest.
One of the main highlights of the Altroz racer is its powertrain. While it still gets the same 1.2-litre, three-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine as the Altroz iTabs, it now produces 120 bhp power and 170 Nm of torque, which is 10 bhp and 30 Nm higher.
Tata hasn't mentioned the launch timeline of the Altroz racer as it was only showcased at the Auto Expo 2023. If launched, the Altroz Racer will rival the Hyundai i20 N Line, which is priced between Rs 9.99 lakh to 12.10 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
